Becoming party to a framework agreement as a seller
The sellers follow the general tender procedure of the Government of Iceland and participate in the tender procedure to become parties to the framework agreement.
When the seller has been selected for a framework contract following a framework contract award procedure, they shall:
enter the terms of the framework agreement into its trading system on the institutions identification numbers that are part of the agreement.
if the government agency contacts the seller, he must inform the buyer of the framework contract terms that are available to him.
Traders can also advertise their services by contacting public buyers and thus raise awareness of the benefits they are offered by the traders.
Framework contract tenders are advertised on the website of the Icelandic State Treasury. Traders must follow the website and participate when tenders are being made by submitting tenders.
Turnover gap
Four times a year, the seller shall compile turnover figures for public bodies and send them to Ríkiskaup. Further information on purchases by public bodies through framework agreements is often requested and then sellers must send a report, categorised down to product number, to Ríkiskaup.
It is important that traders in framework agreements are aware of whether any party to the system has cancelled individual framework agreements.
