Advice on financial problems
You can get free, independent and personal advice on financial problems. The advice is always provided in confidence.
For everyone
Everyone can find themselves unable to meet their financial obligations. It is important that you seek assistance sooner rather than later.
A consultation is appropriate if you:
have lost overview of your financial situation
have had difficulty paying off loans and want to know how to deal with them
have tried to negotiate with the creditor (people or companies you owe money to)
see that your financial situation will deteriorate and want to act
If you are unsure whether a consultation will be helpful, you can call 512 6600

Married or cohabiting couples can apply for counselling together.
You log in with an electronic ID.
Fill out the form as well as you can. You do not need to fill out all fields.
Supporting data
You do not need to submit any supporting documents with the application.
In consultation with you, the consultant will ask for the necessary data and information.
After submitting an application
You will receive an email confirmation and a four digit access code.
The four digit access code is used in communications with the Debtors Ombudsman by phone and e-mail.
You will receive a call from a consultant when it is time to process your application and decide on the continuation.
The counsellor does not collect information and does not contact the creditors or others without having contacted you first.
The processing time of the application varies.
