Frequently asked questions about University
Distance studies consist of all mandatory distance courses and it is possible to complete the programme entirely through distance courses, where teaching takes place at a certain time and real-time participation of students is expected online. In distance learning, teaching methods and technical uses are based on students being absent but able to participate fully in the course without regularly attending a specific place.
Online learning includes all mandatory online courses and it is possible to complete online courses entirely on the programme, as students have access to all online teaching material, such as recordings of lessons or other recordings, but this does not allow for real-time participation by students.
Both distance and online learning can require a physical presence at a specific point in time, for example for courses, fieldwork, assignments or examinations. Some elective courses may also only be offered as local courses.
