Specialist in Endocrinology

The Department of Endocrinology at Landspitali, The National University Hospital of Iceland, is seeking a specialist in endocrinology.

We are looking to hire an organized, solution-oriented individual with good communication skills who works well in a team. The Endocrinology Department is staffed by a strong team of specialists working in a multidisciplinary environment and in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The position is full-time (100%) and is available immediately or as agreed upon.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clinical work in the endocrinology outpatient clinic

• Provision of endocrinology consultations

• Participation in the consultant endocrinology on-call rotation

• Contribution to general internal medicine services, as required

• Active involvement in teaching, supervision, and research activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical license as a specialist in endocrinology

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to work in English and/or Icelandic in a professional healthcare environment

A full-time position at the hospital is on offer. Salary according to the current collective agreement concluded by the Minister of Finance and the Economy and the Medical Association of Iceland.
