It is estimated that approximately 2,500 individuals were present at the Great Forest Day, which took place on Saturday, June 21st, within the Hallormsstaður National Forest. This attendance figure represents the highest turnout since the inaugural forest event, which was held in this format back in 2005. Furthermore, the National Icelandic Logging Competition this year was won by Sigfús Jörgen Oddsson, a forestry consultant affiliated with Land and Forest Iceland, marking his second time achieving this title.
