The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) has published the call “Personalised Medicine for Cardiovascular, Metabolic and Kidney Diseases” (CARMEN2026).

Joint Committee on Public Works has approved construction works for the expansion and renovation of hospital and primary care facilities at Heilbrigðisstofnun Suðurlands (HSU) in Selfoss. A new extension of just over 5,200 square meters will be built to meet increased space requirements, alongside major renovations and reorganization of most of the institution’s older buildings.

The World Health Organization (WHO) holds World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) annually on 31 May. This year, the goal is to raise awareness about the risks associated with tobacco use and how we can work towards a tobacco-free world. This year’s WNTD campaign aims to highlight the strategies employed by the tobacco and nicotine industries to make their harmful products appealing, particularly to young people.
