The District Commissioners have been awarded the Ský 2026 Information Technology Award, recognizing their outstanding contribution to the advancement of information technology in Iceland. The award was formally presented at UTmessan on 6 February 2026, one of Iceland’s largest annual events devoted to innovation, digital development, and technology excellence.

The report outlines the status of funds and institutions pursuant to Act No. 19/1988 on funds and institutions operating under an approved charter, including subsequent amendments.
