A service survey was conducted among residents of nursing homes of the Health Institute of East Iceland (HSA) in November and December 2025. At the same time, a similar service survey was conducted among relatives of residents of HSA nursing homes.

The Health Care Association of Fljótsdalshérað (HHF) has delivered twelve resuscitation manikins to nurses at the East Iceland Health Institute (HSA) for use in teaching and training in first aid and resuscitation.

The West Iceland Healthcare Institution has received a grant from the memorial fund of Bergþóra Magnúsdóttir and Jakob Bjarnason. The memorial fund is managed by the Directorate of Health and grants are granted from it to projects intended to improve the quality and safety of healthcare.

The Icelandic Transport Authority is inviting applications from independent and impartial parties to carry out annual audits of the electronic records maintained by taxi dispatch centres, in accordance with the Act on Taxi Services No. 120/2022.

With the introduction of a new disability and rehabilitation payment system that takes effect on September 1, the current disability assessment will be discontinued and replaced by an integrated expert assessment. The Minister of Social Affairs and Housing submitted a report to the parliament on April 30th regarding the preparation for implementing the integrated expert assessment. The report is currently under review by the parliament's Welfare Committee.

Nationwide, the public will be invited to participate in the land monitoring project "Landvöktun", contributing to the observation of vegetation and soil development within their respective regions. This initiative aims to facilitate public engagement in the conservation of the nation's vegetation resources.

Services provided by the Children and Adolescent Psychiatric Team (BUG) at the Akureyri Hospital (SAk) will be transferred to the Healthcare Institution of North Iceland (HSN) from 1 October.
