I receive money from the Social Insurance Administration. Will anything change for me?

The Social Insurance Administration started using a new system for disability payments and medical and rehabilitation allowance in September 2025.

Regulation no. 429/2019 on stays in hospital hotels Rules no. 457/2000 on payment of accommodation costs due to hospitalisation of a child (ice.)

Travel outside EEA countries  A traveller in a country outside the EEA can apply for payment participation from Iceland Health when they return home. 

Owners of all vehicles must report the odometer reading and pay a kilometer charge for each kilometer driven.

It is also permissible to send a scanned original electronically to the email address along with a copy of the minutes.
