Staff of the National Hearing and Speech Institute of Iceland (HTÍ) were welcomed to Heilsugæsla höfuðborgar-svæðisins (HH) at a meeting with the center’s employees today. The operations will formally transfer to HH on May 1.

The Nutrition Day at Akureyri Hospital (SAk) took place on a Wednesday at the beginning of the month and was dedicated to the nutrition of surgical and intensive care patients. The day was organized by the hospital’s nutrition team in collaboration with the SAk Department of Education and Science.

Anna Sigríður Pálsdóttir, a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, has been appointed to a full-time position at the Psychiatric Ward of Akureyri Hospital (SAk).

The Icelandic Parliament has approved a bill that includes, among other things, an increase in the general exemption limit for old-age pensions and an age supplement on old-age pensions for those who previously received a disability pension.

Payment plans for 2026 are published today on My Pages at TR. Allowances will increase by 5.2% year-on-year.

To inform customers who are currently receiving disability pensions and are moving into a new disability and rehabilitation scheme, an open stream meeting will be held on Friday, 9 May, at 9.00 - 10.00.

From 1 January 2025, the coefficients based on actuarial calculation will change due to the flexible take-up of old-age pensions and household allowances.
