Seafarers now receive a digital reminder in their Ísland.is inbox. This means that three months before the expiration of a seafarer’s courses (Small Boat Safety Training and Basic Safety Training), they will receive a notification via Ísland.is to take the necessary action.

The Icelandic parliament, Althingi, has approved a bill on a single payment to pensioners who earn 25 thousand ISK or less per month from sources other than TR. There are about 2,000 individuals who may be eligible for this payment.
