Request to the Social Insurance Administration for a contribution to study

You can request the Social Insurance Administration (TR) to facilitate payment of the student contribution.

First, a request must be submitted. A decision or agreement from the district commissioner must be available to allow TR to pay the contribution.

TR is the facilitator for the payment of the contribution to the young person and is obliged to pay in accordance with legal decisions. The payment is made in advance on the first day of each month.

Amount

The amount of the simple contribution is per month.

Application process

You can monitor the status of an application on My pages. If there is a missing data, you will receive an email and notification on My pages under My documents.

Conclusion

Once the result is available, you will receive an email and notification on My pages of TR under My documents.

The payer of the contribution will also receive notification on My pages if payments have been approved.

You can also see the amounts for the year in the payment plan.

If you disagree with the decision, you can:

• request a justification for the decision through My Pages,

• send a message to the client ombudsman,

• or appeal the ruling to the Welfare Appeals Committee.

Collection of child support payments

The Social Insurance Administration only acts as an intermediary for the payment of child support to the recipient and is obliged to pay in accordance with a legally valid child support decision, such as a ruling by a District Commissioner or an agreement confirmed by them, a judgment or a court settlement, if this has been requested. Payment is made in advance on the first day of each month.

Payment arrangements

The contribution is paid in advance. The first day of each month is paid out into a bank account registered on My pages.

If payments are accepted retroactively, the credit is immediately paid out.
