Order registration certificate

The Icelandic Transport Authority issues vehicle registration certificates.

The registration certificate contains key information about the vehicle such as:

• the vehicle identification number (VIN)

• registration number (vehicle number)

• vehicle's date of first registration

• engine size

• number of seats

• permitted trailer weight

The registration certificate is sent to the legal address of the registered owner.
