It is possible to request anonymity in the vehicle registry to prevent a person’s name from being used for marketing purposes or displayed in register lookups.
If anonymity has been requested, information about the person’s name is not disclosed via:
electronic records
lists
stickers
telephone
However, information about the vehicle owner’s name may be provided upon submission of a written request together with valid identification, stating a legitimate reason for the request. All such requests are recorded and retained for two years. The following information is stored:
information provided from the vehicle registry
the name of the recipient of the information
the electronic source of request
The same application is used to request anonymity and to remove it.
