To renew your driver's license, you need to:
Fill out a renewal application
Submit a medical certificate from your doctor (must not be older than 3 months)
In certain cases, you need to submit a passport photo on photo paper, 3.5 x 4.5 centimeters, with a neutral background and the individual facing directly forward. This applies if:
The photo is too old and not quality marked or if the photo was submitted before June 2013
The photo is not in the system, older type of license

The documents are submitted to the District Commissioner's office, which checks whether the conditions for renewing the driver's license are met.
If more than 2 years have passed since the driving rights expired, the person must take a driving skills test before the rights can be renewed.

Renewed unchanged
Renewed with certain conditions or restrictions
Renewed after the applicant passes a driving skills test
Not renewed
Restriction of Driving Rights
A driver's license may be issued for a shorter period than stated above. It may also restrict driving rights to vehicles of a specific type or with special equipment if necessary to increase driving safety. The restriction will be indicated on the driver's license with a special code.
