Members of the case
In traditional criminal cases, the parties to the case are referred to as:
Prosecutor: The person who brings a case against a party for a crime. The accusers are the district attorney, the state prosecutor or the police chief.
Prosecutor or accused: A person charged with a violation of the law.
Types of cases
Criminal cases can be of a variety of types. These include offences in public office, drug offences and violence cases.
