The guardian is a person who is given by the child protection services primarily to help parents to perform their custody and parenting duties as best suits the best interests and needs of the child according to Article 24(d) of the Child Protection Act.
Application process
Applicant Applies for Authorisation to GEV and Returns Supporting Documents
GEV checks if the necessary information and data is included in the application
A request for comment is sent to the child protection services in the applicant’s home district.
The GEV takes a decision on the case and informs the applicant and the child protection services of the result.

Authorisation for obtaining a criminal record certificate for all household members 15 years of age and older. Print out the form and fill it out
Medical certificate from a GP confirming the applicant's physical and mental health
