Wages

The Financial Management Authority provides wage services for government agencies and ministries.

The objective of the Financial Management Authority is to have the right wages paid on time.

The Financial Management Authority shall provide:

  • overseeing the central wage and human resources system of the state

  • handles payrolls for government agencies

  • ensures that wage rates and wage tables are in accordance with current collective agreements

  • handle wage adjustments, whether based on collective agreements or decisions on the wages of heads, senior officials and members of parliament

  • that wage-related expenses and taxes are passed on to trade unions, pension funds, private pension funds, the Treasury and municipalities

Staff of state institutions shall contact their institution or their union regarding their own wage issues, including all wage data, for example personal tax credit, private savings and wage accounts.

Agencies involved in wage processing at the Financial Management Authority

A service contract is made with institutions that state the claims and obligations of the parties.

The processing of wages involves the Financial Management Authority entering all necessary prerequisites for wages payments into human resources and wage systems.

  • The role of institutions shall be to:

  • be responsible for the ranking of salaries

  • send wage data on time through

  • send information regarding holiday commitment

  • reviewing the wage pay list for wages

  • store all primary data of the wage

  • be responsible for staff attendance

Entities with their own wage processing

A service contract is made with institutions that state the claims and obligations of the parties.

The Financial Management Authority handles the calculation of wages and pays wages to the accounts of staff. In other respects, the institutions themselves handle all wage processing.
