Akureyri Hospital Service Survey
27th June 2025
Akureyri Hospital aims to provide exemplary service. According to the Act on the Rights of Patients, every patient is entitled to the best possible healthcare available at any given time.

Guided by this objective, Akureyri Hospital will participate in a government service survey, in which we seek to assess the experience of those who seek healthcare services at our hospital and identify areas that may require improvement.
How does the survey work?
As before, those with a scheduled appointment at Akureyri Hospital will receive a reminder on their phone. After the visit, a new message will be sent with a link to the service survey. There, participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the service they received. The survey is available in Icelandic, English, Polish, and Icelandic Sign Language. It is conducted through the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Iceland.
What does the survey ask about?
The survey asks about, among other things, how satisfied people were with the service, how they perceived the staff’s attitude, and how useful and reliable the information provided was. Responses are anonymous and cannot be traced back to individuals.
Why is the survey important?
The results will help us evaluate the services provided by the various departments at Akureyri Hospital, as well as the institution as a whole.
