EEA Grants Slovakia announces cultural grants in partnership with Icelandic entities

4th June 2026

Slovakia has opened applications for larger cultural projects in collaboration with Icelandic and Norwegian cultural institutions. The application deadline is 5 August 2026.

Applications are now being accepted for collaboration in a cultural program titled: Culture Driven Local Development.

The application deadline is August 5, 2026, and now is a good time for Icelandic entities to look for partners in Slovakia.

A Slovak partner leads each project, and applications are submitted in Slovakia. It is mandatory to have a partner from one of the donor states, i.e., Iceland, Norway, or Liechtenstein, which creates exciting opportunities for Icelandic cultural institutions, municipalities, NGOs, and other entities in the cultural and creative sectors to participate in international collaboration.

Rannís is Slovakia's partner in implementing the Culture Driven Local Development program, which aims to increase participation, sustainability, and diversity in the fields of arts, culture, and cultural heritage.

Icelandic entities interested in participating in projects are encouraged to start searching for partners as soon as possible and to familiarize themselves with the terms of the call in more detail.
