The Icelandic Natural Disaster Insurance (NTÍ) has been in the process of preparing a new solution to replace the current damage register. The technical solution that is in charge of the processing of claims today is called the damage register of NTÍ. The damage register is the heart of the operations of NTÍ and enables the agency to manage all claims notifications to NTÍ and meet legal requirements made to the agency. The current system is a child of its time which it is not practical to develop further and the need for a new solution has become urgent. NTÍ is therefore tendering for the project and this was announced on 31 October 2022; the deadline for submitting a tender is 1 December 2022.
