Lecture on the ecology and management of Nothofagus forests in southern Patagonia

The ecology and management of Nothofagus (southern beech) forests in southern Patagonia will be discussed at a meeting on Tuesday, 19 May at 9:00, held in the Nautaflatir hall at Keldnaholt in Reykjavík. Topics will include timber utilisation and forest grazing management (silvopastoral systems).
At the meeting, Argentine professor Dr Pablo Luis Peri will present his research from southern Patagonia. The meeting will also be streamed on Teams.
Pablo Luis Peri is a professor at the National University of Southern Patagonia (Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral, UNPA), a principal researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria, INTA), and a researcher with CONICET, the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas).
