Stakeholders invited to provide input on the implementation of new European pharmaceutical legislation
18th September 2026
The survey is open until and including 29 September.

The European Union is working on extensive changes to pharmaceutical legislation that will eventually take effect in Iceland. The implementation of the legislation is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health. The Icelandic Medicines Agency is already preparing for the changes ahead and assessing their impact on the Agency’s operations and stakeholders.
As part of this preparation, the Icelandic Medicines Agency plans to hold an information meeting for stakeholders to provide an overview of the upcoming changes. To ensure that the meeting is as useful as possible, stakeholders—including marketing authorisation holders, wholesalers, manufacturers, pharmacies, hospitals and other relevant parties—are invited to take part in a short survey to provide input on the meeting’s agenda and format.
The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete and is available here.
Responses will be used solely to prepare and shape the agenda for the information meeting, and all responses to open-ended questions will be published anonymously. Any email address provided will be used solely to send an invitation to the meeting. For further information on data protection, please see the Icelandic Medicines Agency’s Privacy Policy.
