Product recall: Stickers marked with Quantum Shield

The Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority calls attention to a recall of the product Quantum Shield – Nano technology. Quantum Shield are stickers made by Fan Yun Craft Electronics Co in China. Quantum Shield contains a small amount of radioactive material and if the stickers are put on the skin, it causes unnecessary radiation to people. Radiation from radioactive materials can cause damage to people and increase the risk of cancer.
The product has been reported in the European Safety Gate notification system.
The importer and the seller has recalled the product but all sold products have not been returned. A total of 30 items were imported and the stickers were for sale in the store JK vörur between July and December of 2023. It is possible that people have bought these stickers elsewhere, for example, these stickers are for sale at AliExpress and Temu. The Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority advises those who own this product to stop using them and bring the product to the Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority at Rauðarárstígur 10, 4th floor. The product must not be disposed of by normal means with household waste.
