Israeli military strikes on Iranian nuclear installations
13th June 2025
The Israeli army has been carrying out attacks on infrastructure in Iran in the last night. The areas that were attacked include Natanz, where uranium enrichment is carried out. Natanz is located 300 km south of the capital Tehran.

No radioactivity over background levels has been detected around Natanz, where uranium enrichment takes place. If there were to be a release of radioactive material, the distribution and effects would be very local. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has published a statement on the situation in Iran and you can follow the situation on their web.
Geislavarnir continure to monitor the situation.
