A tiny capsule containing the radioactive material caesium-137 (Cs-137) has been found after six days of a frenzied search for it in the wilds of western Australia. The chemical was used in mining operations and fell off the Rio Tinto company truck. Cs-137 can be a hazard to humans, as is often the case with radioactive material. Sigurður M. Magnússon, director of the Icelandic Radiation Safety Authority discussed this matter, and what radioactive material are used in Iceland in the „Samfélagið“ on Rás 1. There are many more than most people think.
