The publication is called: Considerations for the release of patients after radionuclide therapy. 

The purpose of the publication is to describe the considerations necessary for hospitals and the government to take into account when setting criteria for the discharge of patients after treatment with radioactive substances. 

Discharge of patients should be based on a safety assessment, where radiation exposure to the public and persons close to the patient is assessed. Among other things, individual household conditions, working conditions and the possible handling of radioactive waste should be taken into account. 

Scenarios for treatment with radioactive materials and instructions to patients and relatives should therefore consider who may be exposed to radiation, under what circumstances and what radiation exposure may occur as a result of radiation from the patient after discharge. 

The publication presents an example of a process that medical personnel can follow when making a decision regarding instructions to patients and relatives after a patient's discharge. Examples of instructions are also given, together with a discussion of the handling of radioactive waste in the patient's home.
