Further increase in rights to domestic travel costs 2024

26th June 2024

On 1 July the amendment to the national travel costs regulation will take effect. The amendment means that the general right to receive travel costs will be four trips per calendar year.

Earlier in 2024, the number of trips was increased to three instead of two in the previous 12 months period. With this change, the number of trips will now be four when necessary healthcare services are not available in the local area.

From the same time, the submission of a medical certificate in order to apply for payment participation for four trips per year will be cancelled. However, a medical certificate must continue to be submitted in case of repeated trips due to serious diseases.
