Due to the increase in the number of Covid infections in the community

16th June 2022

Due to the increase in the number of Covid-infected people in the community, those who seek services at HVE or come to visit are asked to take good care of infection control and wash and sanitize their hands.

At the moment, there is no change in visiting hours, but people are kindly advised to limit the number to one visitor per day, and those with cold symptoms, fever, cough or other symptoms that may indicate a respiratory infection are asked not to visit . It may be necessary to make the use of masks mandatory in certain departments and it will then be introduced where appropriate.

Visiting rules may need to be tightened in the coming days.

In an announcement from an epidemiologist, "the public, and especially those who are 80 years old or older and those with underlying diseases, are encouraged to take care of their antiepidemics, i.e. avoid crowds, keep your distance, wash and sanitize your hands and use a face mask when disinfection is not possible."

"The epidemiologist encourages persons 80 years of age and older to receive the fourth dose of vaccination. Younger individuals who believe they may be vulnerable to COVID-19 are also encouraged to receive the fourth dose of the vaccine. Vaccination significantly reduces the chance of serious illness due to COVID-19." All those who are unvaccinated are also encouraged to get vaccinated.

Those who wish to be vaccinated are asked to contact their health center.
