The Director of Public Prosecutions

The Directorate of Public Prosecutions is the highest prosecution holder. The Directorate of Public Prosecutions shall be responsible for the administration of criminal investigations in Iceland. The Office is also responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of prosecution by the Police Commissioners and the District Prosecutor.
