This payment method joins the existing ones and allows users to complete payments simply and conveniently, without having to enter their card details each time.

Google Pay is available to users who have registered a payment card in Google Wallet. When it comes to paying on Ísland.is, Google Pay is selected as the payment method and the payment is confirmed.

Around 150,000 payments are made through Ísland.is each year, including for passports, certificates and driving licences. The new payment option simplifies the payment process and saves users time and effort.

Digital Iceland's aim is to offer individuals and businesses a variety of payment methods that meet different needs. In addition to Google Pay, it is now possible to pay with Apple Pay, credit and debit cards, direct bank transfers and, in some cases, via a payment claim in online banking.
