Digital Iceland newsletter August 2025

6th October 2025

Digital Iceland newsletter September 2025.

September was an eventful month. The highlight was the Ísland.is community's harvest festival at the Connecting the State conference on September 18. Seven institutions received recognition for their digital steps at the event: The Labour Inspectorate, the Centre for Educational and School Services, the Directorate of Health, the Directorate of Immigration, the Icelandic Police, the University of Iceland, and Registers Iceland. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to them on their success!

We also thank our other colleagues at Digital Iceland from various public entities who have now taken over 370 digital steps by implementing the core solutions of Ísland.is: Digital Mailbox, Login Service, Ísland.is Application System, My Pages, a website on Ísland.is, the chatbot Askur, Service Desk, the Ísland.is app, and Straumurinn.

Great attendance at Connecting the State 2025

The theme of the conference was security and digital leadership in uncertain times. The Minister for Foreign Affairs gave the opening speech to a full house, with over 400 people participating this year.
