Data is widely available in the public sector, from basic registers such as the National Registry, the Real Estate Registry, the Business Register, and the Vehicle Registry to specific data such as health and medical records, tax data, etc. Access to data is a key factor in providing digital services to the public.
The lecture will discuss how to improve services to the public by making data more accessible and how to ensure data flow through secure data communications. The lecture will look at what is happening in Europe with regard to data spaces and cross-border data communication.
