12:15 State-Community Partnership in Digital Roadtrip
In the talk, Birna Íris will review the state of the partnership between Digital Iceland and the municipalities. There are many angles to the project and the projects are large and mainly relate to websites, Ísland My pages, the Digital Mailbox, login and agency, and life events. But, the journey has begun and the final goal is that all public services will be accessible in one place and people’s lives will be made simpler. There are many challenges ahead, like how to ensure a safe and uninterrupted data flow, who pays what, communication with heritage systems, etc.
Birna Íris Jónsdóttir, Digital Iceland
12:35 My pages: Municipal services in one place
What if we could access all services and communication in the municipality we live in, in one place, regardless of the municipality? What if the administration of our business in the municipality was the same across the whole country? What if? In this talk, the idea is to introduce a project that is about to deploy the Municipal My pages on Ísland.is to the future and the challenges that such a vision entails. The project is a cooperative project between Digital Iceland, the City of Reykjavík, and the Federation of Icelandic Municipalities.
Sigurður Fjalar Sigurðarson, Reykjavík City
12:55 Municipalities on Ísland.is
Municipalities have been very interested in looking into the possibilities of becoming part of the Ísland.is community. Already 44 institutions have moved their websites successfully and up to 20 are in preparation. The rhythm is good for institutions and therefore a review is being made of how municipalities can frame themselves on Ísland.is.

The government’s action plan on services for older people is called Gott að eldast. The focus is on improving services for older people who live at home and need services. There are 18 actions and to complete most of the actions, digital aspects need to be considered. Although the action plan is intended to improve services for older people, it is also intended to facilitate cooperation between those involved in services and where the digital aspect plays a key role. The importance of information being able to travel between service providers, whether state or municipality, will be discussed, as well as how information flows between municipalities, and how a more consistent procedure and assessment tools will be implemented with the involvement of Ísland.is as a center for information and advice on services for older people.
Berglind Magnúsdóttir, Ministry of Health
