Skills camps for the visually impaired, the blind and the people with integrated visual and auditory impairment

The Blind community, Sjónstöðin, the Sports Association for the Disabled and Reykjadalur, under the guidance of the University of Reykjavík, will hold skills camps for children and young people aged 9 to 25 from 11 to 13 October.

Employment of occupational therapists at Sjónstöðin

A 100% job is available for occupational therapists who will work as consultants at Sjónstöðin - service and knowledge center for the blind, visually impaired and individuals with integrated vision and hearing impairment.

Do you want to learn how to teach blind/vision-impaired people how to communicate and process?

The Centre, in collaboration with Support for Independence, a fund run by the Blind Association and the Blind Workers’ Association, offers autumn courses in teaching the occupying and the transiting. The courses are on a university level and are rated to 10 credits at the advanced level (diploma).
