Visit by Estonian Public Prosecutors' Staff

Last Monday, a group of six members of staff of the Estonian Director of Public Prosecutions arrived on a three-day study trip to Iceland to learn about various matters concerning public administration in Iceland.

Last Monday, a group of 6 members of the staff of the Estonian Director of Public Prosecutions, including the Director of Public Prosecutions Andres Parmas, arrived in Iceland on a three-day study trip to learn about various issues of public administration in Iceland. These include the organisation and tasks of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and other judicial authorities, data management, the education and training of employees and the funding of institutions.

The study trip was followed by a grant from The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration, the Estonian Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

The study trip began with a joint meeting between the Director of Public Prosecutions and the District Prosecutor with the staff of the Estonian Director of Public Prosecutions. The group also visited the Courts Administration, the Ministry of Justice, the Chief of Police in the Reykjavík area and Barnahús.
