Work permits transferred to the Directorate of Immigration

On 18 June 2026, changes to Act No. 97/2002 on the Employment Rights of Foreign Nationals took effect, and the Directorate of Immigration has assumed responsibility for the implementing the Act. This means that the processing and handling of applications for work permits are now the responsibility of the Directorate of Immigration.
