Registration open for a conference on developing forest soil monitoring systems
A MoniForSoil network's conference in Hveragerði on September 2nd will concentrate on the advancement of soil monitoring systems within forested regions. The conference program is now accessible, and registration is currently underway, with a deadline of August 5th.

The conference, titled "Developing Forest Soil Monitoring System for the Future," will be held in English.
MoniForSoil, a Nordic network supported by SNS – Nordic Forest Research, serves as a crucial platform for scientists specialising in soil monitoring within the Nordic and Baltic regions. It also facilitates discussions with international partners in the Northern Hemisphere, including Canada and Japan.
The objectives of the network are to address the new EU Soil Monitoring Law and identify indicators that reflect the true health of the soil in the ecosystems of boreal and temperate forests. The network also focuses on strengthening knowledge sharing and coordination of data between teams involved in soil monitoring, as well as promoting the expansion of student projects that use data from more than one country.
