Public Health, Happiness and Well-being in Focus

Public health, happiness and wellbeing will be the focus of the 13th report. Nordic Public Health Conference and 10. European Conference on Positive Psychology

Why are Nordic nations among the happiest nations in the world year after year? How can wellness be promoted in life, play and work? What effect does mindfulness practice have on brain activity? How do the tools of positive psychology work in education and what makes a human life worth living? All of these are questions that will be discussed at the conferences that will take place in Harpa from June 28 to July 2nd.

The world's leading experts in the fields of happiness, mindfulness, wellbeing and public health will be presenting talks on the subject and reporting on challenges, opportunities and outcomes in these fields, among other things. In addition to listening to lecturers' talks, participants have the opportunity to participate in a varied side programme focusing on wellbeing, such as mindfulness, yoga, Nauthólsvík gongs and hiking. This will be a welcome banquet where everyone should be able to find something to suit their needs.

There are over a thousand participants who have already registered for the conferences and it is still possible to secure tickets. Further information on the conferences, registration, programme and main lecturers can be found on their website www.ecpp2020.com
