New service web up in the air
Answers the most common questions the Directorate receives
A new service web for applicants and other clients of the Directorate of Immigration has been launched. The website increases clients' self-service capabilities by publishing clear and concise answers to common questions. The Directorate's staff is still answering common questions which will be added to the website as they go along.
The service web also contains a web form for sending inquiries that are delivered directly to the appropriate mailbox depending on the topic. To further increase self-service, the web form provides an overview of questions that have already been answered on the subject entered by the user.
The service page is the latest product of the cooperation between the Directorate of Immigration and Digital Iceland and is one of the Digital Steps. Next on the agenda in the collaboration with Digital Iceland is to implement Askur Chat and the Service Portal on Ísland.is to share information with customers.
