Resilient justice is the term „philosophy“ that involves seeking reconciliation between offender and victim after the offence has been committed. Mediation (d. measuring) is the method most commonly used in this respect. Mediation means that the offender and the victim are brought together in order to make the offender understand the wrongs he has done and to make him or her make peace with the victim with a view to their reaching an agreement on the end of the case.
The Directorate of Public Prosecutions expects that with the introduction of new instructions, the remedy will be applied to far more cases than has been the case up to now.
