On March 25, Spítalinn okkar (Our Hospital), the national association for the development of new facilities for Landspítali, held a successful and very well-attended symposium in Gróska.

The title of the event was The Future is Digital: How Will Technology Strengthen the New Landspítali and the Healthcare System?

Sigurður Þórarinsson, Director of Digital Health, kicked off the program and discussed the role and future vision of Digital Health. Arnar Þór Guðjónsson, Chief Physician of Otolaryngology at Landspítali, spoke about the latest technology and science from a physician's perspective.

Ólafur M. Birgisson, Director of the Construction Division at NLSH, reviewed the status of construction on the New Landspítali, along with other related projects. Finally, Ásgeir Margeirsson, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Development of Landspítali's Construction, presented the main development projects and the next steps.

Following the presentations, a panel discussion was held where the speakers answered questions from the audience. The discussion was lively and provided good insight into the current state and future of healthcare services.

Digital Health extends its sincere thanks to Spítalinn okkar for the invitation and for a well-organized and informative event.
