Consultation Paper on Targeted Amendments to Certain Disclosure Requirements under the EU Taxonomy Regulation

The consultation paper has been issued at the request of the European Commission to provide technical advice on how to make the disclosure requirements more useful and easier to implement. In particular, it considers the review of the operating expenditure (OpEx) key performance indicator and the simplification of reporting templates and related disclosure requirements.

The consultation is primarily aimed at:

• issuers,

• financial institutions,

• institutional investors,

• auditors,

• other market participants,

• relevant stakeholders, including business associations,

• retail investors,

• advisers,

• the academic community, and

• other organisations.

ESMA intends to submit its final technical advice to the European Commission by the end of October 2026. Comments on the consultation paper must be submitted to ESMA no later than 12 August 2026.
