Announcement of a ban on the operation of drone aircrafts

Announcement from the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police of a ban on the operation of drone aircrafts in a given area, as per Article 12(4) of the Regulation on Operational Control of Remotely Piloted Aircraft No 990/2017. These are security measures due to the European Council Summit taking place in Reykjavík on May 16 and 17.

No drones (remotely piloted aircraft) will be allowed to fly in the centre of Reykjavík, around the airports and along Reykjanesbraut from May 15, 08:00 to May 18 at 12:00.
