Unndis - cooperation for increasing part-time employment

The Directorate of Labour provides companies with advice, education and follow-up so that the number of part-time jobs can increase on the labour market.

Company participation includes:

  • Performing a status evaluation using the Unndís rating scale on all aspects of the workplace that support employment of people with different work capacity. Unndís is a tool and guide with an integrated rating system.

  • Review of the gender equality programme with regard to its validation.

  • A review of the opportunities of the workplace for the growth of part-time work.

  • The creation of an action plan aimed at the recruitment of part-time workers.

  • Periodic re-evaluation.

Support for companies

  • Outreach and promotion of Unndís and service to the workplace during the implementation of the project.

  • Assessment of the status of workplace validation using Unndís’ assessment tool.

  • Advice on how to review opportunities for part-time work within the institution or the company.

  • Education about appropriate integration in the workplace.

  • Support for employment and, where appropriate, follow-up with employment.

  • Support for the development of a timetable and action plan for implementation.

  • Assessment of policy and implementation success. This means that the integration of people with different work capacity is written into gender equality policy.

  • Re-entry and assistance in achieving better results where appropriate.

The project is called Unndís, based on the UN's Disability Inclusion Strategy named UNDIS.
