Alert banner / notification board at the top of the page
Alert Banner is used to convey urgent messages at the top of a page, e.g. on the institution's front page. Such messages are always urgent or time sensitive and therefore only relevant for a limited period of time. There are two types of banners available: Blue basic color (info) - for notifications related to internal operations or services of an institution, such as a change in opening hours or a request to participate in a service survey. Yellow basic color (warning) - for urgent messages to users regarding their services, e.g. if a service is temporarily down, or something is not working as it should. Insert Alert banner: Select Add entry - Alert Banner if you want to create a new banner, or re-use an older entry. It is necessary to fill out the following fields:
Whether the banner should be visible or hidden.
Banner variant (warning is yellow - info is blue).
Title and description in Icelandic and English.
Link title (if you need to link to another page) in Icelandic and English.
Whether the user can block the notification, (Is dismissable) or not.
The number of days that the notification should be visible.
Select the number of days that the notice should be published on the institution's front page.
