Permanent residence permit - definition
A permanent residence permit is a residence permit without a period of validity issued under Article 58 of the Act on Foreigners.
In order to be issued a permanent residence permit, you must have a residence permit that is the basis for a permanent residence permit for four years or less in exceptional cases.
You must also meet other conditions of the permit.
After the permit has been issued, a residence permit card is ordered, but the card itself is valid for five years, after five years you need to renew your card and come to a photo appointment and pay for a new card.
A permanent residence permit is not the same thing as a permanent right of residence for EEA citizens and their relatives.
