Administration of Occupational Safety and Health: Occupational health and safety inspection and digital communication
Can I get information regarding the processing of the notification that I sent in?
The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health is committed to remaining vigilant about conditions in the workplace and appreciates all suggestions concerning suspected shortcomings. Every suggestion is reviewed and assessed whether there is a reason to conduct a labor inspection or initiate digital communication with the workplace. The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health is bound by confidentiality regarding all complaints submitted to the them.
If the Administration determines that there is a reason to look further into the matter the employer under the general supervisory authority of the Administration will be contacted.
For clarification, the law does not authorize the agency to make decisions in matters concerning individual employees.
Therefore, employees who submit a complaint—and, as applicable, those to whom the complaint pertains—are not considered parties to an administrative case under the Administrative Procedures Act No. 37/1993.
This applies both when the agency receives such a complaint and when the complaint prompts the agency to conduct an on-site inspection or initiate digital communication with the relevant workplace.
