Health-Promoting Class
-Automatic translation
The Health-Promoting Class is a preventive initiative grounded in a positive approach that emphasises health promotion. Students are educated about positive methods and healthier choices. The project targets primary school students in grades 7-9 and aims to enhance well-being while empowering them to address life's challenges.
The predecessor to this initiative is the Tobacco-Free Class, which achieved significant nationwide participation and led numerous impactful projects. However, this earlier initiative primarily highlighted the negative aspects of tobacco use.
The project's objectives include, among other things, fostering increased resilience, social skills, and emotional regulation among students. The teacher introduces the project to the class and registers it for participation on the Health-Promoting Class website. Students learn about factors that enhance well-being, select projects to undertake, and set shared goals with their classmates.
As with the Tobacco-Free class, students may participate in a prize game or a final project. To qualify as a prize-winning project, it must adopt a positive approach and ensure that all students in the class are actively engaged in its implementation.
