EASA certification of aircraft
Different types of aircraft, engines and parts are certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency or EASA.
The aeronautical authorities of countries outside Europe, especially FAA (United States Federal Aviation Administration), often work in parallel on the project so that European and American certificates can be issued simultaneously, preferably on the same day.
The certification of aircraft, engines and propellers is a condition for the purpose of verifying compliance with essential requirements for airworthiness and environmental protection in respect of civil aviation.
Rules and regulations
Aircraft covered by the EASA airworthiness rules should be classified under Commission Regulation (EC) No , for airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft.
